Questlove

Ahmir “Questlove” (or “?uestlove”) Thompson is a music producer and drummer for the Philadelphia-based rap crew the Roots. The son of Lee Andrews of ‘50s doo-wop group Lee Andrews and the Hearts, Questlove is most recognizable to late night audiences as the bandleader of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show. Outside of his work with the Roots, he has executive produced notable albums such as Common’s Like Water for Chocolate and Electric Circus and D’Angelo’s 2000 album Voodoo. In 2004 he served as the musical director for Jay-Z’s Fade to Black tour.
