Regina King

In the 1980s Regina King got her big break as ‘Brenda Jenkins’ on the hit Marla Gibbs ensemble comedy sitcom 227. But by the time the 90s rolled in, the Los Angeles-native put her mark on the big screen in such feature films as Boyz N the Hood, Jerry Maguire and Enemy of the State. King increased her silver screen star power in the 2000s starring opposite Chris Rock in Down To Earth, Eddie Murphy in Daddy Day Care and Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx in Ray. King also pulled small screen double duty voicing characters on the animated series, The Boondocks, and starring as Detective Lydia Adams on the critically acclaimed police drama Southland.
