Shonda Rhimes

Shonda Rhimes is an acclaimed screenwriter, producer and director who's best known for the creation of the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy. She's also responsible for it's spinoff, Private Practice, as well as the development of the hit ABC drama Scandal.  A Golden Globe and NAACP Image award-winner, Rhimes has also been involved in the writing, producing and directing of several films, including Blossoms and Veils, Crossroads, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge and Disney's The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.  In 2007, her significant contributions to pop culture earned her a spot on Time's list of "100 People Who Help Shape the World."
