Stalley

Rapper Kyle “Stalley” Myricks earned his nickname from his dad, who said his son—a future NCAA Division I basketball player—played like a stallion. When a foot injury forced him to put his hoop dreams aside, Myricks reinvented himself, moving from the blue-collar steel town of Massillon, Ohio, to Brooklyn, New York, in pursuit of MC dreams. After mixtape releases in 2008 (Goin’ Ape) and 2009 (MadStalley: The Autobiography), and touring with Mos Def, the artist who’s been called “the Bruce Springsteen of rap” just released his latest, Lincoln Way Nights on the indie label Intelligent Trunk Music.
