Actress Born Thandiwe Nashita Newton, Thandie Newton is a British actress who got her big break in Oprah Winfrey’s 1998 production of Beloved. Previously, Newton had starred in several UK television series and had bit parts in films like Flirting and Interview with a Vampire. She even starred as Tupac Shakur’s junkie girlfriend in the movie Gridlock’d. Since then, Newton has starred in films such as Mission Impossible 2, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Pursuit of Happyness, For Colored Girls and Good Deeds, in which she starred opposite Tyler Perry.
