The Jacksons

Musical Group Consisting of brothers Marlon, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Michael and later Randy, The Jacksons (originally known as The Jackson 5) are one of the bestselling and most influential groups of all time. Their crossover success during the ‘60s and ‘70s helped propel the Motown Sound and produced classic tunes like “ABC,” “I Want You Back” and “I’ll Be There.” The group’s popularity also laid the foundation for the solo careers of all of the brothers, particularly Jermaine and Michael, who became an international megastar. In 1992, ABC premiered a five hour miniseries that featured the group’s rise to fame called The Jacksons: An American Dream. The sudden death of Michael in 2009 and its effect on the family was documented in A&E’s The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty and in 2012, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon embarked on a worldwide reunion tour, their first tour in nearly 30 years. The countless contributions that The Jacksons have made to the music industry and popular culture overall have earned them numerous awards and honors, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as the Grammy Hall of Fame for their hit single, “I Want You Back.”
