Aretha Frnakin has been dubbed the "Queen of Soul" for the impact her iconic voice has had on black music. Her most popular song, 1967's "Respect," won Franklin her first of 18 Grammy Awards, including eight consecutive nods for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. In the 1980s, Franklin hit the pop charts with Jump to It, and Who's Zoomin' Who?, her first Platinum-certified album. She won a Grammy in 2008 for "Never Gonna Break My Faith," a collaboration with Mary J. Blige. She was the only singer selected to perform at the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama.
