After conquering hip hop, the fashion industry, TV, film, stage and the liquor biz, rap music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs recruited female singers Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper to form the futuristic “hip pop” soul group Diddy-Dirty Money. At first glance, one might take the group as a hip hop version of the ’70s trio Tony Orlando and Dawn. But their 2010 debut album, Last Train To Paris, is more of a Euro-disco/techno-house/pop rap mashup that features an all-star line-up of guests ranging from T.I. to Grace Jones. The group disbanded in 2011, with each member working on solo projects.
