Emeli Sandé

After releasing a string of hits in Europe last year, Emeli Sandé has become one of the industry’s hot topics. Starting her career as a songwriter, the award-winning soul singer has written for some of Europe’s prime artists, including Susan Boyle and Leona Lewis. But with millions of hits on YouTube and attention-grabbing singles like “Heaven” and “Next to Me,” the socially-conscious songstress is shining in her own right. Her platinum debut, Our Version of Events — released in Europe earlier this year — hits the U.S. June 5.
