Johnny Gill

Johnny Gill began his career at the age of five, singing gospel in a goup with his brothers. A Washington, D.C. native, his first album, Johnny Gill, was released in 1983. The platinum-selling artist pursued a solo career until 1987, when he was tapped to join boy group New Edition. He has performed with the group off and on for years, and in 1997 he united with Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat to form the supergroup LSG. His 2011 album, Still Winning, was his first solo project in 15 years. In the interim, he appeared in dozens of films and inspirational plays, including Madea's Family Reunion.
