The Grammy winning, record-breaking R&B singer has overcome personal tragedy, inspiring fans through her life as well as her music. Monica’s return to the music industry, as well as her roles as mother and actress, were explored in the BET reality show, Monica: Still Standing. In 2010, Monica married NBA player, Shannon Brown after meeting him on the set of her video for “Love All Over Me.” In early 2012, she and Brandy teamed up again for the first time in more than a decade for the girl power anthem, “It All Belongs to Me.” Monica’s album, New Life was released in April 2012.
