Robert Kelly creates epic R&B that recalls the greatest soul singers of our time. Since his 1992 debut with the new jack swing–era group Public Announcement, the proud Chicagoan has released thirteen studio albums (12 of which have gone at least platinum) and sold over 34 million records. A singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Kelly is responsible for eleven number one singles including 1994’s “Bump N Grind” and the 1996 megahit “I Believe I Can Fly,” which won three Grammy Awards. He broke new creative ground with the 22-chapter “hip-hopera” “Trapped In the Closet.” Despite a series of personal problems and legal troubles, the artist's fans have stayed loyal through the years. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists, from Gladys Knight to Kirk Franklin to Jay-Z, and at the 2010 Soul Train Awards, R&B legend Ronald Isley referred to Kelly as his son.
