Ralph Tresvant

Ralph Tresvant was the original lead singer for the ‘80s R&B boy band sensation New Edition. He sang lead on the quintet’s early hits such as “If It Isn’t Love,” “Cool It Now” and “Candy Girl.” Like the other members of New Edition, Tresvant ventured out on his own in 1990 with his self-titled debut album, which included the No. 1 R&B hit “Sensitivity.” He would release two more albums, the last being 2006’s Rizz-Wa-Faire, which were largely overlooked.
