Benzino Disagrees With Dr. Dre’s Claim That Eminem Is The Best MC Ever

The former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star took issue with his long-time nemesis being called the greatest rapper of all time.

Benzino does not agree with Dr. Dre's assertion that Eminem is the “Best MC ever,” and further says it is an “insult” to Hip Hop culture, HipHopDX reports.

Appearing on the “This Life Of Mine” podcast with host James Cordon on Friday (March 15), Dre shared his high regard for the lyrical prowess of “Slim Shady.”

“I think he’s [Eminem] the best MC ever. Point blank, period. Of course, there are gonna be arguments with that because he’s a white guy…I don’t think anyone that’s rapping can touch Eminem on that microphone,” Dre explained.

“His writing and his delivery and his imagination is off the charts – and I don’t think anyone would disagree with that,” Dre continued. “I think he’s the best MC ever.”

Taking to Instagram, Benzino gave his perspective on the matter.

Benzino Says Somethings Are ‘Beyond’ Repair After Coi Leray Claims He Was ‘Envious’ of Her Success in New Interview

“You know I think Dr Dre is one of the greatest producers of all time, and notice I didn’t say Hip Hop producers, but this is an insult to Ice Cube, MC REN, Snoop Dogg, The Doc, and every other rapper who wrote all those hits,” Benzino explained.

“I mean this is his opinion and I respect it but c'mon Dre [palm on face emoji],” he continued.

It’s not surprising that Benzino does not think that Eminem is the best MC ever having feuded with the Detroit native for more than two decades. Em felt slighted after “The Eminem Show” received a rating of four mics out of five in The Source (Benzino eventually admitted to blocking Eminem’s 5-mic rating). Benzino went on to accuse Em of appropriating hip-hop.

Benzino would release diss tracks targeting Em such as “Pull Up Your Skirt” and “Die Another Day.”  Em responded with “Nail in the Coffin” and “The Sauce.”

In January, Em released "Doomsday Pt. 2," a track featured on Lyrical Lemonade's new album “All Is Yellow” where he throws shots at Benzino and his daughter Coi Leray, reviving the beef once again.
