Along her motherhood journey, fans have seen Carey embrace the wonders of parenthood, on and off the stage.

Last year, while speaking to PEOPLE, the "It's A Wrap" singer discussed the qualities she admires about her then 12-year-olds.

"They're good, nice kids," she said. "They're kind-hearted people, and I really enjoy being around them and watching them grow up into the people that they're ultimately going to become."
