This Teen Tweeted Photos of What Actually Goes On in Gender Neutral Bathrooms and It's Magical

Julissa Emile believes everyone should have access to the restroom of their choice.

    Last weekend, Emile and her school's slam poetry team went to College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational in Chicago, Illinois.

    During a break, Emile stumbled upon a gender neutral bathroom and decided to make some queer magic happen.

  • Emile tweeted, 'A gender neutral bathroom but every time I take a picture, more queer people get in the photo'

  • The next day, Emile took another photo of the peace and harmony that goes down in gender neutral bathrooms

  • Emile even took her gender neutral documentation to Tufts University

  • It did not take long for Emile's inclusive and compassionate photos to go viral

    For Emile, the access to public bathrooms of choice are a necessary right for this country. 

    "Personally, I think gender-neutral bathrooms are a necessity," she told Buzzfeed. "Everyone deserves the right to exist in a public space."
