Big Boi may be in hot water after his weekend arrest, but his lawyer Daniel Kane isn’t sweating the charges. According to HipHopDX, Kane released a statement today:
“While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage,” said a statement from Kane. “I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated."
As previously reported, Big Boi was busted in Miami Sunday [August 7] for possession of ecstasy, MDMA powder and Viagara pills.
The rapper, whose real name is Antwan Patton, was caught by customs and border control patrol dogs as he was leaving a cruise ship. The 36-year-old rapper has been charged with one count of drug possession and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
