Terrorist Behind London Bridge Attack Was Reported to Police Two Years Ago

He was also featured in the documentary "The Jihadis Next Door."

One of the terrorists involved in the London Bridge attack allegedly had reports made against him to British police. According to BBC’s Asian Network, an anonymous man said he informed police of his concerns, yet his reports were ignored.

"Two years ago, we spoke about a particular attack that happened and, like most radicals, he had a justification for anything for everything and everything,” he told Rickin Majithia. “So that day, I realized I needed to contact the authorities. I phoned the anti-terrorist hotline. I spoke to the gentleman. I told him why and how. I told him about our conversation and why I think he’s been radicalized.”

  • After the man made his report to Metropolitan Police, he said, “They didn’t get back to me. Nor was he arrested or, you know, just picked up for any kind of questioning.”

While Metropolitan Police continue to make raids in neighborhoods looking for people connected to the attack, they have not yet released any names of the attackers.

However, one the of attackers was reportedly featured in a Channel 4 documentary called The Jihadis Next Door.

  • In the documentary about British jihadists, the 27-year-old attacker posed with an Islamic State flag and reportedly tried to radicalize children with treats. Because of his radical views, the man was kicked out of a mosque he’d been attending.
