Nas Previews New J Dilla-Produced 'The Season'

MC debuts song during surprise appearance at Run the Jewels release party.

There's nothing like a new Nas track to satiate the hunger of hip hop heads. Especially when it's a surprise.

Making an unexpected appearance at the Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-PRun the Jewels 2 album release party on Wednesday night, God's Son debuted his new record, "The Season," which has him rhyming over the late J Dilla's "Gobstopper" production.

"Who told you I lost it?/I just put it down, damn/Can a king lounge for a second?" Esco rhymes on the track.

The legendary Queensbridge lyricist rounds out the track stating, "Jay Elect doesn’t write it/Hov couldn’t write it, he’s vacationing/Jungle is the only brother I take s**t from/Hassan song gives me lines/We talk all the time, so I guess if he inspired my song it ain’t mine/Let me get this clear, the kid is gifted.”

There's no telling if this track will be part of Nas's next album, but the MC did rap on ScHoolboy Q's "Studio" remix, "Finished up my new album/Single about to be dropping/Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options."

Escobar season again?
