Tamar Braxton Drags Iyanla Vanzant For Exploiting This Extremely Painful Memory From Her Past

Her upbringing apparently wasn't the smoothest.

Tamar Braxton's strained relationship with her sisters has been well-documented on their family reality series Braxton Family Values.

As previously reported, the family enlisted the help of infamous life coach Iyanla Vanzant to facilitate some sort of resolution among them, but one person who was not here for her assistance was the "Love & War" songstress who, in a recent interview, shared a gripping story about her childhood that came into play during their session wit the "fixer."

During her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday morning, Braxton, with initial hesitation, candidly addressed why she stormed off the set during her family's counseling session with the Fix My Life hostess.

In her explanation, she made a shocking revelation of being molested as a child and how that sensitive past experience became a central topic of shame during Vanzant's therapeutic approach.

“A lot of things happened in my childhood that I was too afraid to talk about," she told Williams on the purple couch. "The truth of the matter is I have been molested by both sides of my family and it’s nothing I ever talked about and nothing I ever thought that I would sit around the table with Iyanla who’s here to talk about me and my sisters and their problems and to bring that up and sex shame me basically in front of everybody. So, that’s why I got up and walked out.”

The already highly anticipated episode, which will show the ladies' counseling session with Vanzant, is schedule to close the currently airing season of Braxton Family Values.
