Hollywood Walk of Fame Bans Reality Stars

Sorry, Snooki, Tami Roman and Nene Leakes.

Visitors to L.A. won't be able to walk all over Kim Kardashian, the cast of the Jersey Shore or Nene Leakes anytime soon. The Walk of Fame, a popular Hollywood tourist trap boasting over 2,400 brass stars dedicated to show business personalities young and old, has banned reality television stars from being honored. "Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the no!" was posted on the Walk of Fame's Facebook page on Wednesday.
Ana Martinez, vice president for media relations and producer for the Hollywood Walk of Fame tells the Hollywood Reporter: "It's just not on the radar for us right now." She claims nominees need to meet the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce committee's criteria of awards and honors in entertainment, longevity in the field and pay $30,000 for the star's installation and upkeep on the street.

Luckily for fame whores everywhere, the rules aren't set in cement. "We just want to bring the tourists to Hollywood," says Martinez. Maybe the Walk of Fame should install a special temporary star that changes every fifteen minutes?
