February is the month of love and Jay-Z is giving some by helping out for charity.

Today at Carnegie Hall, the rap icon announced he is teaming up with the United Way and will give two benefit concerts.

The money raised will go towards college scholarships and for a program focused on diminishing the dropout rate among New York City teenagers, through the United Way.

The New York Times reports the Brooklyn mogul said during an interview at the iconic theater, “There was a ton of blue-collar jobs that no longer exist, and the gap is wider than ever, and the kids need to really know that and be prepared. To really succeed in this new America, they are going to need an education.”

The 42-year-old father-to-be also has his own foundation chaired with his mother, Gloria Carter, that helps children from struggling backgrounds with college scholarships.

Carnegie Hall tickets range from $500-$2,500.
