The television networks have announced their fall lineups and some familiar and new faces will populate the fresh crop of comedies, dramas and reality shows. Maya Rudoph, the SNL alumna now in the hit Bridesmaids, stars in NBC’s Up All Night playing BFF to Christina Applegate in a comedy about balancing parenting with work and marriage. Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) plays an NYPD homicide detective in the CBS crime thriller Person of Interest and music biz mogul Antonio 'L.A.' Reid joins Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole on the judges’ panel in the Fox singing competition The X Factor.

Russell Hornsby (Lincoln Heights) is in the cast of the NBC supernatural drama Grimm, based on the idea that fairytale figures are real, and on the same network, Steve Harris (The Practice) plays a detective in Awake, a drama in which Jason Isaacs plays a man leading a double life. Damon Wayans Jr. (My Wife and Kids) plays a personal trainer in the Fox sitcom New Girl, which also stars the stunning Hannah Simone as a model pal of the title character (Zooey Deschanel).

Henry Simmons (Shark) returns to TV in the ABC comedy Man Up and Cress Williams (Friday Night Lights) is a former football star in the CW’s Hart of Dixie, about a doctor (Rachel Bilson) who opens her practice in an Alabama town. Veteran comedian Garrett Morris plays a cashier in the diner where the title characters of the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls work, and Naturi Naughton (Fame) is in the ensemble cast of NBC’s 1960s-set drama The Playboy Club.

Gorgeous newcomer Annie Ilonzeh landed one of the three leads in ABC’s reboot of the ‘70s action series Charlie’s Angels, and Christine Adams will similarly kick butt in the Fox adventure Terra Nova, in which colonists fleeing a dying Earth in 2149 go back to prehistoric times in an effort to change the course of history. Aisha Dee plays a biracial teen in the Fox comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter, with Chad Coleman (The Wire) as her dad.

Shonda Rhimes’ Scandal with Kerry Washington as a crisis management wiz and co-starring Columbus Short is on ABC’s midseason schedule, and the Bones spinoff, The Finder, with Michael Clarke Duncan, is on Fox’s future slate.
