Disgusting Video Shows White Officer Punch Black Teen In The Face After A Dispute At The Mall

Milwaukee Black Panthers have called for a Mayfair mall boycott and the firing of the cop involved.

A viral cell phone video showing a Black 17-year-old boy getting punched in the face by a Wisconsin police officer in the parking lot of a mall has raised many questions around the efficacy of force used by cops.

In the video, recorded by Tyrone Jackson, the teen is getting arrested by a mall security guard and a Wauwatosa officer. As the authority figures struggle to cuff the teen, the unnamed Wauwatosa officer strikes the boy multiple times in the face, reported WITI-TV.
Jackson told the local news station he noticed the boy and his teen friends were being followed by the security guard. Jackson said he knows two of the teens in the group. When the Wauwatosa officer arrived on scene, Jackson began recording.

"The officer got out of the car and said, 'I said stop,' and got in front of the young man,” Jackson said. “Next thing you know he's like, 'Let me go!’”
Jackson said the punch to the boy’s face was so violent, he could hear the impact from 10 feet away.
"I heard it, and I was about like 10 feet back. I heard it... he went down right away," Jackson told WITI-TV.
According to Wauwatosa police, the teen and four others were acting disorderly and causing a disturbance.
Police said additional video shows the officer tried to speak with the boy and the teen began "to physically fight with the officer, who was trying to legally detain the suspect."
Jackson says the arrest did not feel right.
"I knew it was wrong, that punch was wrong," he said. "If it was just a tussling, trying to get him down, okay that would be something different. But the punch to the face, twice, to a minor, it was something serious to me."
In a statement, Wauwatosa Police Captain Brian Weber said the department will "thoroughly review" the incident.
The 17-year-old was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct, battery and resisting an officer.

After video of the incident went viral, the local Black Panther group called for a boycott of the mall and action to be taken against the officer.

King Rick and eight Black Panthers started a protest on Saturday at the Wauwatosa Police Department and Mayfair mall. The group not only demanded the officer be fired and charged, but they also urged shoppers to boycott the mall, reported the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

"For too often are we being subjected to racial profiling in this mall, far too often," Rick said in a video posted to his Facebook page. "Those dynamics have to change and we're here to demand that they change."
