You’ll Never Guess Which Rapper Wants To Run For President In 2020
The country's current climate has left many looking forward to a major change in political leadership and administration, sans Donald Trump, come 2020.
And if you ask seasoned rap vet Coolio, he's the perfect candidate for the American people.
According to a new report, the Compton rapper is reportedly running in a presidential campaign for vice president alongside adult film star Cherie DeVille, who is determined to become the next U.S. President. Back in August, DeVille announced that she would be running for the ticket alongside Coolio as her VP.
While speaking with news outlet KESQ, Coolio revealed why he's choosing to run in the election and get into politics despite his history in music. “Somebody got to do something man, somebody got to try," he explained. "We need normal people, we need normal regular everyday people in office."
The hip-hop titan, who notably rose to fame upon the release of his second-studio album Gangsta's Paradise, further elaborated on his thoughts regarding the government. “I believe there truly is a Deep State," he said. "And I think there is a Deep Deep State and nothing is what it seems."
Considering Trump lacked any real qualifications for office, it doesn't seem too far-fetched that Coolio and an adult film star could be put into the mix in the 2020 election.
