At 41 years old, Gwen Stefani is hotter than many 21-year-olds. The rock star, who designs her own fashion line, L.A.M.B., won’t be jumping on the sex-symbol bandwagon anytime soon. In fact, she thinks racy artists like Rihanna and Katy Perry should cover up a little for the kiddies. “I usually put pants on,” she says in the latest issue of Elle Magazine, referring to the influx of short skirts, bare thighs and skimpy leotards. “I see these girls as going more for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy,” she says, referring to her No Doubt days.

Stefani’s L.A.M.B. offers young women more style options that don’t flaunt as much skin. The singer understands that, like herself, not every young woman identifies with such sexy icons. However, she does admit that most women are super-concerned about their looks. “I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean?  I love the visual.”
