No More Watermelondrea? Major Drama for Raven-Symoné at 'The View'

Plus, another host is getting "fed up" of the show.

There must be something in the air.
A week after the behind-the-scenes drama on LIVE! With Kelly and Michael dominated headlines, it appears that another morning talk show is going through similar struggles. According to the New York Daily News, The View is looking to shed one host and desperately trying to hold on to another.
Sources say that Raven-Symoné may not return for season 20 after putting her foot in it one too many times on the air. It's not clear whether Raven is looking to leave or producers are forcing her out after a year of controversial statements (who can forget her shade against "ghetto names" like Watermelondrea?) and social media backlash. But it's clear that she very likely will be looking for a new gig once the current season is up.

On the other hand, Whoopi Goldberg is "fed up" of all the backstage drama and rotating hosts and isn't interested in renewing her contract after this season, the source says. The big wigs at ABC are desperate to keep her in her seat, though, so this could lead to some interesting contract negotiations in the coming months.

Meanwhile, ABC is still hunting for a replacement for Michael Strahan on LIVE!, so it's also possible that one of the View hosts will walk across the hall for their next job. In any case, the musical chairs of talk shows continues.
At least Whoopi has other interests she can focus on if she decides to leave The View for good. See her latest business venture with BET Breaks above.
