Fix It, Jesus: Stacey Dash Is Going to Be a Mayor?

What do you think of her latest gig?

Published May 5, 2016

Is Stacey Dash going from conservative pundit to leader of one of the most liberal cities in America? In a way, yes.

The Clueless actress may not be actually running for office, but she will play a government official on screen. Dash is gearing up to make a cameo as someone pretty important in the fourth installment of the Sharknado franchise. According to Deadline, she will play Chicago's mayor in the film.

The polarizing actress' casting is interesting given she's made headlines for months now for voicing her unpopular — and often unsolicited — opinions on everything from the lack of diversity at this year's Oscar nominations to ending Black History Month as we know it.

Also set to making cameos in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens are Real Housewives of Atlanta castmember Cynthia Bailey, Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec, Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Kym Johnson, TV host Carrie Keagan, In Living Color star T'Keyah Crystal Keyman and Baywatch stars Gena Lee Nolin and Alexandra Paul.

Sharknado: The 4th Awakens premiers on July 31 at 7:00 p.m.
