Lamar Odom’s Family Is Desperate To Help Him, Stages A Surprise Intervention

Prayers up for the former NBA star to get his act together.

Just a week after former NBA player Lamar Odom was kicked off of a flight from Los Angeles to New York City for “flipping out” while heavily intoxicated, his family is doing what they can to help him to get his act together again.

As reported, his family staged a surprise intervention last night (July 22) in an effort to express both their love and concern for him, in the wake of his recent antics.

According to an insider source, his ex-wife Liza Morales, his aunt JaNean Mercer, his children and several of his cousins were all in attendance in an effort to get through to him.

When Odom caught wind of the surprise mediation, he reportedly was “extremely surprised,” and immediately “left the location.”

Shortly after the incident escalated on the airplane, Odom’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, spoke up about his recent behavior, sharing that she was surprised to hear he wasn’t doing well.

“I don’t know what happened,” Jenner said. “All I can say is I just want the very best for him because he’s like my son. He’s a part of my family and I adore him. He’s the best. … He’s the greatest guy in the world and anybody that knows him will tell you the same thing.”

Odom was hospitalized after a near-fatal overdose at a brother in Nevada back in October 2015, and has since been involved in several rehabilitation programs.

His friends, family members and several celebrities have recently shared they are increasingly worried about the former basketball player.

Hopefully Odom will start to get the message that those that care about him are concerned and will seek the necessary treatment once more.
