During E!'s coverage of the recently passed Primetime Emmy Awards, reporter Sibley Scoles made the embarrassing mistake of confusing Jenifer Lewis for Wanda Sykes and social media lit her on fire for the fumble. While the folks on Twitter may take longer to forgive her, it seems as Lewis has as she they two caught the moment on social media, showing Scoles personally apologizing to the iconic actress.
In the clip, they both poked fun at the situation before Jennifer urged the folks on social media to lay off Sibley, calling it "an innocent mistake."
"She came over here all the way to the set to apologize," Lewis said. "It was an innocent mistake... Y'all leave this baby alone."
