Donald Glover and Regina King are two of the most talented, prolific actors on television — Glover's show Atlanta walked away with two Golden Globe awards just last week — and now they'll be bringing even more of their talent to Hollywood in 2017.
The stars each landed a major deal with a television studio to create more content for the small screen. In other words, great news for TV!
Glover, whose Atlanta has been a huge critical and ratings hit for FX, landed an exclusive overall deal with the network, reports Deadline.com. The deal will see him developing, producing and possibly writing and starring in more projects for the network, both for linear television and streaming/digital platforms. Meanwhile, he'll continue his role as creator, writer and star of Atlanta, which will return for season two in 2018.
Meanwhile, King, who won back-to-back Emmys for her role in ABC's American Crime, has inked a two-year deal with the network to develop new projects.
Congratulation to both these stars, and we look forward to binge-watching their shows in the near future.
