Hidden Figures, since its 2016 release, has seen an immense amount of praise, and the good news just keeps coming for the incredible film and its cast as it has officially been dubbed the highest grossing Oscar nominee of this year.
According to IndieWire, the Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe-led film earned a whopping $119.4 million thus far, snagging the No. 4 spot in the Top 10 grossing films of the week.
The film, which was initially released approximately two months ago, beat out the likes of its Oscar competitor La La Land (No. 5), Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (No. 6) and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage (No. 10).
The film is nominated for three Oscars in the categories of Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Spencer's performance.
