Jesse Williams is known for actively displaying his views as an activist at random times and he did just that during a BIG3 game this weekend in response to the Charlottesville attack.

The Grey's Anatomy star attended the game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday and made a grand statement when he refused to stand for the national anthem.

Sitting courtside, the actor posted a clip while the "Star Spangled Banner" was being sung with the caption, "We'll stand when you do...," which some say was a dig at President Trump.

He followed up by making this post about the events in Charlottesville:

Williams was not the only one who chose to sit during the national anthem this weekend. According to TMZ, Marshawn Lynch did the same during a pre-season game with the Oakland Raiders.
