President Donald Trump and his administration have announced plans to slash another Obama-era executive order that served as a means of protection for another group of underrepresented members of American society: undocumented immigrants.

Taking to Twitter, Trump detailed plans to wind down on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA), and celebrities have taken to social media to express their disgust with the decision.

It all started when Trump took to Twitter early on Tuesday morning to post the following message:

  1. The insensitive news gravely affects aspiring applicants and, eventually, active members: the program will reportedly no longer accept new applicants and those currently under its protection will be effected from March 5, onward. The time between now and then gives Congress time to find a solution.

Since the news has gone public, several celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts, including the likes of Gabrielle Union, Common, Cher, Ava DuVernay, Tracee Elliss Ross and more.
