After acting in Thor: Ragnarok, Idris Elba got a taste for something he wants to do more of in the future.
Apparently, the actor loved working on the forthcoming film and during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Elba indicated that he wanted to be cast in more Marvel Superhero movies, particularly bigger roles.
The 45-year-old plays the Asgardian gatekeeper in Thor: Ragnarok. He says he’d love to play a superhero, which he claims is contrary to most actors his age.
“I wish I was more present in the Marvel family. I like what I have, but I also wish that I had a bigger character in the Marvel universe,” he said.
Elba also said he was honored to have the role, just maybe wants a lead role next time out. “It’s been great, but I kinda think I need a bit more,” he said. “I want to be a superhero. I like the idea of that.”
