There have been a series of robberies affecting the wealthiest of the celebrity world in California and the latest to be hit — well, almost — are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Luckily, the couple's security detail was so tight that the burglar not only failed on his mission, but he was met with an unexpected surprise.

According to TMZ, after vandalizing a slew of cars at the bottom of Kim and Kanye's driveway on Friday morning, the burgar was met with the barrel of a gun to his face.

Sources connected to the situation reported that the couple's security was so heavily armed that the robber didn't make it past the driveway as they were so heavily armed and prepared for intruders. The site reports that it is now a "standard operating procedure" for Kim and Kanye's security team to carry licensend weapons once their property is invaded by trespassers.

The moment the culprit noticed the weapons, he reportedly scurried away from the premesis. Everything is currently in the police's hands, at this point.

The intensified security detail comes in response to the traumatic Paris robbery where Kim was restrained by armed gunmen and thrown in a bathtub.
