Twitter Is Not Here For Tyler Perry Directing A Marvel Or DC Comic Book Movie

They're pretty opinionated about this one.

Tyler Perry was rumored to be entering the heavily guarded gates of Marvel and DC comics as, according to new reports, he was in talks to direct a superhero film with both powerhouse studios.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the accomplished director, producer and actor explained that while he was approached by the studios, he admitted that he would not be the right fit for the gig.

"I've had a couple conversations, but I would always say, 'I'm not the guy to do this,' " he said. "I'm not the guy that can bring this vision to life 'cause it takes such a village to pull it together, and I'm not a guy that can work with fifty other directors and producers telling you what to do, how to do it, when to do it. That doesn't work for me. I saw that in a couple of the sci-fi movies that I've been a part of and I think, 'Uhh, I'm not doing that.'"

Despite his clearly stating that he won't be going that route, news on the prospect of him even being considered for the job made its way to social media, and Marvel and DC Comics' respective superfans wasted no time in sharing how they felt.

Take a look at their reactions, below:
