Lisa Bloom Reportedly Investigated Numerous Harvey Weinstein Accusers
Former Harvey Weinstein attorney Lisa Bloom was reportedly “deeply involved” in investigating numerous female accusers of the Hollywood producer before she resigned her representation.
According to TMZ, Bloom actively investigated Rose McGowan in July and looked through private investigator’s reports, subsequently revealing those findings to Weinstein and others.
Ambra Battilana Gutierrez, another alleged victim, was also investigated. Bloom allegedly obtained compromising information from Italy with the goal to kill her accusations.
The celebrity news website also reports that sources say Bloom attempted to lobby the New York Times and NBC to not release their stories on Weinstein. They also claim she was involved in efforts to secretly record at least one of the sexual assault victims.
Lisa Bloom resigned as one of Harvey Weinstein’s attorneys earlier this month. She subsequently told the Los Angeles Times she was “never aware” that there were allegations of sexual assault lobbied against Weinstein but admitted that she should’ve known.
