Woke Bae Of The Day: Watch 'Hulk' Star Mark Ruffalo Rip Into Columbus Day

We love it.

In case you didn't know, Mark Ruffalo is woke AF. His social media accounts are more about equality and justice than the glamour of Hollywood. So when we sat down with the actor for the release of Thor: Ragnarok, we had to go deep.

Ruffalo is reprising his role as the Hulk (his third time playing the character), and of course, we had to ask the actor what the green superhero would think of Black Lives Matter. With a smile on his face, Ruffalo answered, "He's green — he'd think they're awesome. He's a person of color!" Well said, Mr. Ruffalo!

Also on the day of our interview it was Columbus Day, so we wanted to know what the Italian American thought of abolishing the day. "I'm totally fine with it, man," he replied. "There's no reason to uphold inconsistent myths about our history, not at this point. We know now what the truth is." Sounds like Mark should be speaking some truth over at Fox News — and that is all shade.

Thor: Ragnarok is in theaters November 3.
