11 Hilarious (And Heartwarming) Tweets About Tiffany Haddish's Historic Appearance On 'SNL'

Taylor Swift wasn't feeling the love, tho.

Tiffany Haddish had a lot on her shoulders last night as the first Black female comedian to host Saturday Night Live, and she didn't disappoint.

  • She was funny, but inserted a woke element into her appearance, perhaps best highlighted by her monologue where she explained when it was appropriate for a male to expose himself.

“Listen, fellas. Listen. If you got your thing-thing out and she’s got all her clothes on, you’re wrong. You’re in the wrong,” she told the crowd.

The Girls Trip star also talked about her recent movie and remembered her childhood, some of which was spent in foster care.

“I feel like I should be able to wear what I want, when I want, no matter how many times I want, as long as I Febreezed it,” she joked. “I spent a lot of money on this dress! This dress cost way more than my mortgage. It’s an Alexander McQueen, it’s a $4,000 dress … I’m gonna wear this dress multiple times — you might see this dress in two sketches tonight.”

Taylor Swift was the musical guest and a rather strange choice paired up with the actress and comedian. It turned a lot of people off, especially those who watched strictly for Haddish.
