Some People Think Dave Chappelle Crossed The Line In His New Comedy Special With This #MeToo Joke

Twitter is mad, but his fellow comedians are defending the controversial bit.

Most are raving about Dave Chappelle’s latest Netflix specials, but not everyone was satisfied with all of his jokes.

  1. In particular, many didn’t find his bit about actor Anthony Rapp, who he says wasn’t really harmed by Kevin Spacey’s alleged sexual assault toward him because he “grew up to be gay anyway.”

"Kevin Spacey's out here grabbing men by the p***y! I didn't even know that was possible!" He says, then later seems to defend Spacey's actions.

"I've been to a lot of parties in my day. Never been to a good one that had 14-year-old boys in it," Chappelle jokes. "Kevin Spacey sniffed that s**t out like a truffle pig."

"And not to victim-blame," he concluded. "But it seems like the kind of situation that a gay 14-year-old kid would get himself into."

That said, many comedians are defending Chappelle. TMZ recently spoke to Norm McDonaldAdam Devine and longtime Chappelle's Show co-star Donnell Rawlings. Both McDonald and Devine praised Dave while Rawlings said people shouldn’t hold their breath for an apology from the legendary joke master.

  2. There were quite a few people on social media that were mad however. See their responses below.
