Blac Chyna is continuing to deal with the aftermath of her sex tape leak, and her silence on the issue has led many to assume that she may be behind the leak, herself.
Now, after some time has passed, the former stripper's team is speaking out about her alleged involvement.
According to TMZ, sources close to Chyna stressed that, despite the video being shot on her phone, she had absolutely nothing to do with the clip getting out to the public.
After the video was leaked on Monday, with many commenting on her seemingly poor "performance," Chyna's ex-boyfriend Mechie came forward with claims that he was the man involved. He added in his statement that he shot the video on the model's phone last July and immediately gave it back to her afterward, never getting a copy, himself.
Chyna's people added that while the video was captured on her device, she did not show it to anyone and the phone was not stolen or hacked into since that moment. They added that no other video or photos from her phone were leaked, except for the sex tape.
Chyna will allegedly file a police report with the LAPD by the end of the week and is said to "fully cooperate."
In regards to why she is waiting to report the leak to the officials, Chyna's lawyer, Walter Mosley, said it's simply because it's a "high-profile case," which forced them to schedule an apointment with an LAPD detective from the "proper unit."
"There are a lot of different agencies that are involved in this and it's a high-profile matter, too," he told Page Six. "It will be done this week."
