Stacey Dash is running for Congress and she seems to already have enough sources in line to actually make that happen.

The Clueless actress took to Twitter, recently, to share her progress, informing her followers that she submitted the paperwork to officially run for public office.

Dash, 51, shared that she launched a website to receive donations for her campaign and it appears as her supporters have come in feverishly as she received enough money to file the documents to run.

  1. In a few additional tweets, she thanked those who donated and believed in her. "I won't let you down," she wrote before linking to her donations site.

  2. For those somehow interested in the actress' platform, she claims it is now posted on her website.

  3. The polarizing and often problematic Hollywood star also added that while many are labeling her simply an actress, she believes she has paid a hefty price for her fame.

Also, she reassured her followers that if anyone is seeking to expose her with her past, they can do so as she has nothing to lose.

The actress is planning to run as a Republican in California's 44th Congressional District which Rep. Nanette Barragan currently represents. This district current contains the cities of Compton, San Pedro, Watts, and North Long Beach, and has notably been represnted by a Democrat since the 2012 election.
