On June 13, a woman claimed Jamie Foxx assaulted her while at a party at his Las Vegas home in 2002. Allegedly, he demanded she performed oral sex and we she refused, she claims she was slappped with his penis. Foxx's team denied all allegations.
TMZ reported the alleged incident caused her to have a panic attack the next day and she went to the hospital. However, she has only went to police recently because she was inspired by the #MeToo movement.
A rep for Jamie told TMZ, “Jamie emphatically denies that this incident ever occurred, and he will be filing a report with the Las Vegas Police Department against the woman for filing a false police report against him. The first time [Jamie] became aware of this woman’s absurd claims about an incident that supposedly occurred 16 years ago was when TMZ contacted his representatives [Tuesday] about this story.” The rep continued, “The alleged incident was not reported to law enforcement in 2002, or at any other time in the last 16 years until last Friday because the incident never happened.”
All is clear for Foxx now, TMZ reports the case has been closed, "Las Vegas PD tells us ... Foxx is in the clear — at least criminally — because the statute of limitations of 3 years has long since run. The case was previously listed as an open investigation. As for a civil suit ... nope — the statute of limitations has also run."
As of now, Foxx or his team have not made an additonal statements.
