Gabrielle Union Shares An Emotional Video Of The Moment Her Daughter Was Born And It Will Leave You Bawling
Gabrielle Union has been extremely open about her journey towards motherhood since the arrival of her daughter Kaavia James Wade.
As her baby girl turned one-month-old, the first time mom shared home videos of her daughter's birth and dropped more deets on the events leading up to her new bundle of joy's arrival via surrogate.
The eight-minute long video showcased intimate moments from Kaavia being pulled out of the surrogate's womb to Gabrielle Union happily crying tears of joy.
Always open about her fertility woes, the actress discussed suffering from "eight or nine miscarriages." "It wasn’t actually the problem of getting pregnant, it was holding the baby. And we discovered finally what I have is called adenomyosis," she explained.
Delving further into the pain she experienced trying to conceive, Union added, "It just feels like shame, years of shame, humiliation and betrayal of your body. It was so many emotions.”
Discussing her decision to get a surrogate, she added, "We just decided as a family that the best and safest route, and most successful route was a gestational carrier. For us, it was our embryo so our surrogate has no genetic tie to our baby."
