Twitter Jumps To Defend Tiffany Haddish After She Bombs On Stage During NYE Show

The heckler who recorded the viral moment was dragged for filth.

Tiffany Haddish ended 2018 on arguably a sour note as she completely bombed during her stand-up performance in Miami on New Year's Eve.

The moment, which was captured on video by a heckler who reveled in her misfortune from the front row, quickly went viral and even saw the comedienne issue a statement regarding her performance. Now, several of her peers, fans and admirers have come to her defense and lit her chief hater ablaze in the process.

Since the clips of her less-than-stellar comedic performance spread like wildfire on the internet, Haddish took to Twitter to extend her apologies to her fans and to reassure them that there will not be a repeat in the future.

Prior to her statement, however, an attendee named Andrew Chestnut took to the social media site himself to diminish Haddish, dubbing her a terrible comedian and further adding that the show was "horrible."

  • In an apparently unexpected turn of events for him, he was quickly met with a slew of tweets with several Twitter users — celebrities included — coming to the Girls' Trip star's defense and clowning him for his cheap shots.

  • Other celebs also ignored his unnecessary tom-foolery altogether, and, instead, focused on reassuring Haddish that this one sour moment does not trump the countless achievements she's earned.

  • It's a new year. Tiffany Haddish will rise from this and likely continue to flourish, easily.
