Report: The New 007 Is A Black Woman – And Twitter Is Hype

"Captain Marvel" star Lashana Lynch is taking over the reigns.

History is being made in yet another popular film franchise. After seeing Daniel Craig fill agent 007's shoes in the James Bond films for years, it is now being reported that Captain Marvel's Lashana Lynch has been tapped to take his place.

According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the forthcoming Bond 25 movie confidently claimed that Lynch will be the new 007 agent, being the first Black and female actress to do so in the film's 57-year franchise.

"There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M [played by Ralph Fiennes] says, 'Come in, 007,' and in walks Lashana, who is Black, beautiful and a woman," the source said. "It's a popcorn-dropping moment."

The insider stressed, though, that "Bond is still Bond, but he's been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."

It should be noted that, if the reports prove to be true, Lynch will not replace Craig as Bond, himself, but will be her own new character under the 007 code name.

More information of her alleged dynamic with Craig's character was shared, and it proves she's all about getting the job done.

"Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don't work on a brilliant, young Black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed," the source added. "Well, certainly not at the beginning."
