Naomie Harris Says A 'Huge Star' Sexually Assaulted Her During An Audition

"No one said anything at all."

Naomie Harris recently opened up about being sexually assaulted by a "huge star" during an audition earlier in her career.

During an interview with The Guardian, the Skyfall star revealed that this particular actor, who she refused to name, groped her while they read their lines, and the project's director did not intervene.

"I was in an audition and he put his hand up my skirt," the Oscar nominee said. "What was so shocking about it was the casting director was there and the director, and of course no one said anything at all because he was — he is — such a huge star."

After recalling the assault, which she said occurred when she was in her 20s, Harris, now 43, acknowledged that in the wake of the recent #MeToo and Time's Up movements, men no longer get an easy pass for this behavior.

"Men know that they absolutely cannot get away with things now that they wouldn't even have thought about before," she said.
