Gabrielle Union is extremely appreciative of fans who rallied behind her after news surfaced that she was allegedly released from her contract with America’s Got Talent (AGT) due to speaking out against racism and sexism happening behind the scenes.
There were also reports that Union was criticized, on numerous occasions, for wearing hairstyles that were "too Black" for the show's audience.
Although Union did not publicly confirm the reports, the famed actress took to social media with a heartfelt tweet.
“So many tears, so much gratitude. THANK YOU! Just when you feel lost, adrift, alone... you got me up off the ground. Humbled and thankful, forever,” Union wrote on Twitter.
Representatives for NBC have declined to comment.
