The death of Kobe Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gigi has everyone on social media in shock.
The father and daughter were reportedly on their way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash occurred. The academy is in nearby Thousand Oaks.
Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife and Gigi’s mother, was not reportedly on the helicopter. Many are sending their prayers to the 37-year-old who married Kobe in April of 2001.
Ciara, Iyanla Vanzant and more are offering their support and condolences to Vanessa. See what they had to say below.

Yesterday watching my husband & the kids in stunned silence, just staring at them, all of us thinking about @vanessabryant & her children and the families that lost pieces of their heart in an instant yesterday. Please remember that as life moves on for everyone else, the grief these families are experiencing just started. Please dont forget about them. Please dont forget about all the ppl who are suffering and frozen as life around them goes on. We love you. We are praying for you, for all of us struggling with unimaginable challenges we dont speak of.
Dear heavens. RIP also Gianna Bryant and the other three people on that helicopter. I hope Vanessa’s nearest and dearest are sheltering her. I cannot imagine.— roxane gay (@rgay) January 26, 2020
My heart is completely broken for Vanessa, the entire Bryant family, and all those on board. A father, husband, philanthropist, and one of California’s most brilliant icons, Kobe transcended sports.— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) January 26, 2020
Let's all hold those we love a little tighter today and every day.

Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) January 26, 2020
